    23 June 2019

Several publications and research firms conduct studies that rank banks from best to worst. We’ve analyzed those ranking systems and compiled a list of banks with the best customer experience.

Here are the banks with the highest retail customer satisfaction scores by region in 2018, according to J.D. Power:

    1. Chase Bank

Chase Bank is the largest bank in the U.S. when it comes to assets, and the bank scored the highest of any big bank in a recent Consumer Reports survey.  Chase has good coverage in most populated areas, but other banks might be a better fit. PNC also scores well in satisfaction surveys and has a strong presence in the eastern U.S. Bank of America and Wells Fargo are also contenders. Chese bank also provice best customer service any time.

    2. Banner Bank

Banner Bank provides services in commercial real estate, construction, residential, agricultural and consumer loans. Headquartered in Walla Walla, Washington, Banner earned a score of 838 to top the Northwest region.

    3. Capital One

Capital One’s ability to straddle two worlds played a hand in its ascension to the top spot on our list of the best big banks in America. The bank’s 360 Checking Account pays 0.2 percent annual percentage yield. An interest-bearing checking with low or no fees is practically unheard of for big banks. Not only does Capital One pay, it charges no monthly service fee.

Capital one bank customer service is Great for any customer. Capital One says it offers more than 39,000 free ATMs nationwide, partly through the Allpoint network.

    4. Ally Bank

Ally started in New York in 1919 as GMAC, a division of GM that helped dealers finance and maintain their vehicle inventory. Lending to consumers to help buy household appliances and vehicles began in the 1950s. And in the late 1990s the company purchased The Bank of New York’s lending unit. Ally Bank does well on the Consumer Reports study, and it has a well-established place in the online banking world.

Customers who open an Interest Checking account can earn as much as 0.1 percent APY. Ally Bank doesn’t make people jump through hurdles to earn the interest either. There are no monthly maintenance fees associated with the account and all balances greater than zero earn a little extra cash.

    5. Western State Bank

Western State Bank provides personal and business banking products and services. The company offers checking accounts, savings accounts, consumer loans, home equity loans, home equity line of credit, equipment finance/lease, mortgage loans, financial solutions, and agricultural banking services.  Western State Bank in Devils Lake, North Dakota, scored high points for breaking down the barriers to getting cash. We rank it the best regional bank in the U.S.
