Taking up an online course while having a full time job is a challenging task. You are likely to face a shortage of time due to the amount of work that has to be completed. Plan for everything – Most students who work on the side figure out pretty soon that if they don’t plan their week in advance they’re going to fall far behind on their responsibilities. Assign time for every assignment as well as time to read through the class material.
Eliminate distractions – Dedicate some time every day to go over the work you’ve been assigned and check that you’re on track to complete it all. Keep your syllabi around at all times so you can double check what’s coming up and be sure it’s going to get done.
Reward yourself with short breaks – Online courses are time consuming and difficult to complete, especially if you’ve got a job to think about on the side. When you complete your work, give yourself a break ranging from ten minutes to thirty minutes to unwind and remind yourself of your goals. This is a great way to keep your mind refreshed and engaged.
